How to Add and Configure a Store Language in Perno Store

A step by step guide to adding and configuring a store language in Perno Store.

Follow these instructions to add and configure a language in your store.

1. Select the correct store

Log in to Perno and use the Context selector at the top of the page to choose the store whose language settings you want to configure.

Language settings apply only to the currently selected storefront.

2. Open the language settings

In the left-hand navigation:

  1. Expand Your store.

  2. Select Languages.

The Store languages page displays the current configuration, including:

  • Language

  • Sequence

  • Default currency

  • Visibility in the storefront header

  • Default language status

  • Available actions

3. Add a language

Select Add language in the upper-right corner.

Before continuing, check the Context Summary to confirm that the correct store is selected.

4. Choose the language

Open the Language dropdown and select the language you want to add, for example English or Deutsch.

5. Set the sequence

Enter a value in the Sequence field.

The sequence determines the language’s position in the storefront language menu. Use the order that best matches how you want the available languages to be presented.

6. Select the default currency

Under Default Currency for This Language, either:

  • Select Use store default currency, or

  • Choose a specific configured store currency.

This determines which currency customers will initially see when they use this language.

7. Configure storefront visibility

Select Show in storefront language menu if customers should be able to choose this language from the storefront’s language selector.

Leave the option unselected if the language should be configured but not displayed in the menu.

8. Decide whether it is the default language

Select Default only if this should be the primary language of the storefront.

The default language is shown automatically when a customer first opens the store. Normally, only one language should be configured as the default.

9. Save the language

Review the configuration and select Save.

To leave without adding the language, select Cancel or Back to List.

10. Verify the configuration

Confirm that the new language appears in the Store languages list with the correct:

  • Sequence

  • Default currency

  • Header visibility

  • Default language status

Use Preview store to verify that the language appears in the storefront menu and works as expected.
