The Producers module lets you maintain a consistent list of brands and manufacturers that can be assigned to products. Producer records are managed separately for each store, so first confirm that the correct store is selected in the Context menu.
Opening the Producers module
-
Expand Products in the left-hand menu.
-
Select Producers.
-
Review the Store Context to confirm which store you are managing.

-
Check Producer Count to see how many producer records are available in the selected store.
Existing records appear in the Producer Registry, which shows the producer’s name, website URL and creation date.
Creating a producer
-
Click Add Producer. If no producers exist yet, you can also select Add First Producer.

-
Enter the Producer Name. This field is required.
-
Optionally enter the producer’s website in the URL field.
-
Review the store shown in the Context panel.
-
Click Create Producer.

Select Cancel or Back to Producers if you want to leave the form without creating the record.
Assigning a producer to a product
After creating the producer:
-
Open Products → Products.
-
Create a new product or edit an existing one.
-
Find the producer field in the product form.
-
Select the appropriate producer.
-
Save the product.
Using producer records makes it easier to organize the catalogue and maintain consistent filtering, merchandising and product-import processes.

Managing producer records
Each row in the Producer Registry contains:
-
the producer’s name;
-
its external URL, or a dash if no URL was entered;
-
the date and time when the record was created;
-
an Actions menu represented by three dots.
Open the Actions menu to update or delete the selected record when necessary.
Use one producer record for each brand or manufacturer. Keep spelling and capitalization consistent with product feeds and imports to prevent duplicate entries.
