What is Perno Orchestration?
Perno Orchestration works like a central payment switchboard for your account — it connects Perno to real payment gateways (Stripe, Autopay, PayU, mPay) instead of you integrating with each one separately.
Each Perno account has a single orchestration record, but that one orchestration can hold multiple merchant accounts — for example, Stripe for card payments in Germany and Autopay for BLIK in Poland, both managed from the same place. Orchestration also gives you a read-only transaction history, payment links, and stored payment instruments, gathered together regardless of which provider processed the payment.
What is a merchant account?
A merchant account is the record in Perno Orchestration that stores a payment provider's credentials and configuration. It connects your Perno account to an actual payment gateway (Stripe, Autopay, PayU, or mPay), enabling you to process transactions, generate payment links, and manage payment instruments through orchestration.
Opening Merchant accounts
- Click your initials in the top-right corner.

- Select Merchant accounts from the menu.

The Merchant Accounts page shows how many accounts you have, which one is set as default, and which providers are supported:
Adding a merchant account
- Click + Add Merchant Account - available from the empty-state prompt, the button on the Merchant Accounts page, or the blue + button in the bottom-right corner.

- Fill in the Account Configuration:

| Payment Gateway | The provider you have registered an account with: Stripe, Autopay, PayU, or mPay. |
| Payment Gateway Type | The environment this connection uses, for example Production. |
| Use as default merchant account | Sets this account as the default. The first account you create becomes the default automatically; setting another account as default unsets the previous one. |
| Currencies | Select one or more: Euro, British Pound, Polish Złoty, or US Dollar. |
| Payment methods | Choose the supported methods: Visa, MasterCard, BLIK, Pay by link (mBank, ING, PKO BP, etc.), Bank transfer, PayPo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, Bancontact, EPS, Revolut Pay. |
| Languages | English, Polish, German. |
| Countries | Select the countries this merchant account applies to. Use Check all or Uncheck all to speed this up. |
- Provide the provider-specific API data:

| Field | Stripe | Autopay | PayU |
|---|---|---|---|
| API data #1 | API key | Service ID | POS ID |
| API data #2 | Webhook secret | Shared key | Client ID |
| API data #3 | — | — | Client secret |

| Merchant Account Hash | Optional. A service hash used by orchestration integrations to reference this merchant account externally. Leave it empty unless a connected provider or integration specifically requires one. | ||
Saving
If this is your first merchant account, it's made the default automatically; saving another account as default will unset the previous one. Click Create Account to save the merchant account, or Cancel to discard it:

Once saved, the new account appears on the Merchant Accounts page, and the Accounts and Default Account stats update accordingly.
