Discount Codes let you create promotional codes customers can redeem at checkout for a percentage or fixed discount. This guide covers adding a discount code, and managing or deleting an existing one.
What is Discount Codes for?
Discount Codes let you create promotional codes that customers can redeem at checkout for a percentage or fixed discount, scoped to the currently selected store.
Before you start: a discount code can't be created until your store has at least one currency configured, since the Currency field is required for fixed amount discounts. Add a currency first if you haven't already:
Switching to your store context
- Click the Context switcher in the top navigation bar.
- Select Store from the list.
The dashboard now shows live data for the selected store.
Opening Discount Codes
- Click Your store in the left sidebar to expand it, then click Discount codes.
The Discount Codes page shows the store you're currently managing and any codes already created for it:
Adding a discount code
- Click + Add discount code.
- Fill in the discount code settings:

| Code | The code customers enter at checkout to redeem the discount. |
| Usage Type | How many times the code can be redeemed, for example Multi-times use. |
| Discount Type | The kind of discount applied, for example Percentage or a fixed amount. |
| Discount Value | The discount amount. For fixed discounts, enter the amount in the smallest currency unit - for example, 1234 means 12.34. |
| Currency | Required for fixed amount discounts. Requires at least one currency to already be configured for the store. |
| Active | A checkbox that turns the discount code on or off. |
| Expires At | The date and time after which the code can no longer be used. |
| Min Cart Value | The minimum cart value, in the smallest currency unit, required for the code to apply. |
| Max Cart Value | The maximum cart value, in the smallest currency unit, eligible for the code. |
| Exclude promo products | When checked, products already on promotion are excluded from this discount code. |
Saving the discount code
Click Save to create the discount code, or Cancel to discard it.
Reviewing the new discount code
The code now appears in the Discount Codes list, along with its discount, usage type, and status:
Managing a discount code
Click the ⋮ menu next to a discount code to:
- Edit - change the code's settings.
- Delete - remove the discount code.
Deleting a discount code
After perssing ⋮ and than Delete, a confirmation dialog appears asking "Delete this discount code?" Click OK to permanently remove it, or Cancel to keep it and close the dialog.
