How to edit delivery methods in Perno Store

A step by step guide to editing delivery methods in Perno Store.

Delivery methods determine which shipping options customers can select when purchasing a product. Before a delivery method can appear at checkout, it must be configured for the store and assigned to the relevant products.

Perno Store provides three ways to assign a delivery method:

  • automatically, by setting it as the default delivery method;

  • collectively, by adding it to all products;

  • individually, by selecting it for a specific product.

The default option is the standard solution when the same delivery method should be available for the entire product catalogue. Individual assignment is useful when selected products require different shipping options.

Before you start

Before assigning a delivery method, make sure that:

  • the store has at least one currency configured;

  • the store has at least one language configured;

  • the delivery method has been created under Your store > Delivery pricing;

  • the delivery method is set as Active;

  • the appropriate delivery countries are selected.

1. Select the correct store

Log in to Perno and use the Context selector at the top of the page to choose the store you want to configure.

Delivery methods and product assignments apply only to the currently selected store.

2. Open Delivery Pricing

In the left-hand navigation:

  1. Expand Your store.

  2. Select Delivery pricing.

The Delivery Method Registry displays the delivery methods configured for the selected store.

Assigning a default delivery method automatically

The standard way to make a delivery method available for the entire product catalogue is to set it as the default method.

3. Create or edit the delivery method

To create a new method, select Add Delivery Method.

To update an existing method:

  1. Find it in the Delivery Method Registry.

  2. Open the three-dot menu.

  3. Select Edit.

Review the method’s configuration, including:

  • Courier name

  • Courier type

  • Currency

  • Price

  • Days to deliver

  • Variability type

  • Variability number

  • Active

  • Default

  • Delivery countries

4. Set the method as Default

Select the Default option if the delivery method should be assigned automatically to all products in the store.

When a delivery method is set as Default, Perno Store automatically associates it with the store’s products. You do not need to open every product and assign the method manually.

Also make sure that Active is selected. A method that is not active remains configured in the administration panel but is not displayed to customers at checkout.

Save the delivery method after completing the configuration.

Assigning a delivery method to all products collectively

You can also assign an existing delivery method to the entire product catalogue without editing products individually.

This option is useful when:

  • the method was not originally configured as the default;

  • a new delivery method should be added to all existing products;

  • the method should be available across the catalogue without becoming the default option.

5. Use Add to all products

Open Your store > Delivery pricing and find the relevant method in the Delivery Method Registry.

Then:

  1. Open the three-dot menu next to the delivery method.

  2. Select Add to all products.

  3. Confirm the operation if a confirmation message is displayed.

Perno Store will associate the selected delivery method with all products in the current store.

The Add to all products action does not make the method the store’s default delivery method. It assigns the method collectively to the product catalogue.

Assigning delivery methods to an individual product

Use individual assignment when a product requires specific delivery options. For example, an oversized, fragile or digital product may need different delivery settings from the rest of the catalogue.

6. Open the product catalogue

In the left-hand navigation:

  1. Expand Products.

  2. Select Products.

Find the product whose delivery methods you want to manage.

7. Open Product Delivery Methods

Open the three-dot menu in the product’s Actions column and select Delivery methods.

The Product Delivery Methods page displays the selected product’s name and ID. Verify this information before changing the assignments.

8. Select the delivery methods

Under Available delivery methods, select every method that should be available for the product.

Clear a selection if the method should no longer be associated with that product.

A product can have more than one delivery method assigned. The customer will see the methods that meet the product, store and delivery-country configuration during checkout.

9. Save the product configuration

Review the selected delivery methods and save the changes.

Return to the product catalogue and repeat the process only for other products that require individual delivery settings.

Choosing the correct assignment method

Use the assignment method that matches your store configuration:

  • Use Default when a delivery method should be assigned automatically across the store.

  • Use Add to all products when an existing method should be added collectively to the current product catalogue.

  • Use Product Delivery Methods when you need to manage delivery options for a specific product.

For a standard store in which the same delivery method applies to all products, setting the method as Default is usually sufficient.

Verify the delivery method at checkout

After assigning the delivery method:

  1. Open or preview the storefront.

  2. Add the relevant product to the cart.

  3. Continue to the delivery stage of checkout.

  4. Select a delivery country supported by the method.

  5. Confirm that the expected delivery option is displayed.

If the method is not available, check that:

  • the correct store is selected in Context;

  • the method is Active;

  • the method is assigned to the product;

  • the customer’s delivery country is enabled for the method;

  • the method uses a currency configured for the store;

  • the product and delivery method are available in the current storefront configuration.
