The Static Page Categories module allows you to group related static pages and organize them in the storefront’s multicategory navigation. Categories belong to the currently selected Perno Store and may be arranged into parent and child groups.
Before creating a category, check the Context selector at the top of the dashboard and confirm that the correct store is selected.
How to create a static page category

Expand Content in the left-hand navigation.

Select Static page categories. You can also open Static Pages and select Manage Page Categories.

Click Add Page Category. If no categories exist yet, you can also click Create Page Category.

Complete the Category Settings:

Page Category Name: Enter the name of the category. This field is required.

Parent Page Category: Select an existing category if the new category should be nested under it. Leave No parent selected to create a top-level category.

Sequence: Enter a number that determines the category’s display order in the storefront navigation.

Slug: Enter a URL-friendly identifier for the category. For example, customer-service. This field is required.

Click Create Page Category to save the category.
To leave without saving, click Cancel or Back to Page Categories.
Assigning static pages to a category
After creating the category:

Go to Content → Static pages.

Create a new page or open the settings of an existing page.

Select the appropriate category in the Page Category field.

Save the page settings.
Using parent categories allows you to build a structured navigation hierarchy for larger groups of pages.
Managing existing categories
The Page Categories list displays:

the category name and slug,
-
its parent category,
-
its sequence number,
-
translation management,
-
available actions.
Select Manage in the Translations column to manage the category’s language versions. Use the three-dot icon in the Actions column to access the management options for that category.
When changing a category hierarchy, sequence or slug, check the storefront afterward to confirm that the navigation structure and links work as intended.
