Sites health check monitors a page or API on a schedule and records whether it's responding. This article covers adding a site, reviewing its status, and removing it from monitoring.
What is sites health check for?
Sites health check lets Perno Check periodically request a page or API endpoint on your behalf and record whether it responds correctly. Use it to catch outages as soon as they happen, instead of waiting for a customer to report that a site or API is down.
Switching to the Perno Check context
- Click the Context switcher in the top navigation bar.

- Select Check from the list.

Adding a site to monitor
- Click Sites health check in the left sidebar.

- Click Add site and fill in the basic info:

Name - a label to identify the site in your list. URL - the page or API endpoint to check.

- Optionally, expand Advanced settings to control how the check behaves:

| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Request method | The HTTP method used for the check, for example GET. |
| Expected status codes | The response codes that count as healthy, for example 200-399. |
| Timeout seconds | How long to wait for a response before treating the check as failed. |
| Check every minutes | How often the site is checked. Free plan monitors can run no more often than once per hour. |
| Notification email override | An optional email for this site's alerts; leave empty to use the default email from Perno Check settings. |
| Active | A checkbox that turns this health check on or off. |

Click Save site to start monitoring it.
