The Main Page Sliders module allows you to create and manage hero banners displayed on the homepage of a selected Perno Store. Sliders can be prepared for individual store languages, arranged in the required display order and linked to specific storefront destinations.
Main page sliders are managed separately for each store. Before making changes, always confirm that the correct Perno Store is selected in the Context menu.
Before you start
Prepare the following information:

the banner image,
-
the language in which the slider should be displayed,
-
the slider’s position in the sequence,
-
the page or destination that should open when a customer selects the slider.
If you want to create language-specific sliders, first make sure that the relevant languages have been configured for the store.
Open the Main Page Sliders module

Log in to the Perno dashboard.

Open the Context selector at the top of the page.
-
Select the Perno Store whose homepage you want to manage.
-
Expand Content in the left-hand navigation.
-
Select Main page sliders.
-
The Main Page Sliders page displays:
-
Store Context – the store whose homepage sliders you are managing.
-
Active Slides – the number of sliders currently configured for the selected store.
-
Slider Registry – the list of existing sliders, including their language and sequence.
-
Actions – the menu used to edit, reorder or delete an existing slider.
Add a slider

Click Add Slider.
If the store does not have any sliders yet, you can also click Add First Slider. The blue plus button in the lower-right corner may also be used to open the slider creation form.

Confirm that the correct store is displayed in the context summary.

Upload the image that should be displayed on the store’s homepage.

Select the language for which the slider is intended.
-
Set the slider’s sequence.
-
Configure the storefront destination that should open when the customer selects the slider.

Review the configuration.
-
Create the slider.
After saving, the slider appears in the Slider Registry, and the number shown under Active Slides is updated.
Configure sliders for different languages
Language settings determine which version of the slider is presented in a particular storefront language.
To prepare sliders for more than one language:

Create a slider for the first language.
-
Select the appropriate language in the slider configuration.
-
Add the corresponding image and destination.
-
Save the slider.
-
Repeat the process for every additional store language.
If the same campaign should be displayed in several languages, prepare a separate slider entry for each language. This allows you to use localized images, text and destinations.
When managing language versions:
-
use the correct language for each slider,
-
make sure that text included in the image matches the selected language,
-
verify that the destination page is available in that language,
-
check the sequence separately for the sliders displayed in each language.
Change the slider order
The sequence determines the order in which sliders are displayed on the homepage. The slider with the lowest sequence value should be placed first.
To change the order:

Find the slider in the Slider Registry.

Open its actions menu.
-
Select Edit.
-
Change the sequence value.
-
Save the changes.
-
Repeat these steps for any other sliders whose positions must be updated.
Avoid assigning the same sequence value to several sliders intended for the same language. Using a clear sequence such as 1, 2, 3 makes the final order easier to manage.
Place the most important campaign or message in the first position because it receives the greatest visibility when customers open the homepage.
Edit an existing slider

Find the slider in the Slider Registry.

Open the actions menu next to it.

Select Edit.
-
Update the required settings, such as:
-
image,
-
language,
-
sequence,
-
storefront destination.
-
Save the changes.
After editing, preview the store and confirm that the correct image, order, language version and destination are displayed.
Delete a slider
Delete a slider when it should no longer appear on the store’s homepage.

Find the slider in the Slider Registry.
-
Open its actions menu.
-
Select Delete.
-
Check that the confirmation window identifies the correct slider.

Confirm the deletion.
Select Cancel if you want to keep the slider.
After deletion, the slider is removed from the registry and the Active Slides counter is updated. Review the remaining sequence values and adjust them if necessary.
Verify the storefront
After adding, editing, reordering or deleting sliders:

Open Preview store.
-
Go to the homepage.
-
Check that the sliders appear in the intended order.
-
Change the storefront language and verify the sliders configured for each language.
-
Select each slider and confirm that it opens the correct destination.
-
Check that the banner image is displayed correctly.
Repeat the verification for every language configured in the store.
