In Perno Store, a user is a customer account associated with a specific online store. It may contain the customer’s personal or company information, contact details, communication language, order history, invoice data, delivery data and assigned price group.
A user account can be created in two ways:
-
By a store administrator from the Perno Store management panel.
-
By the customer directly through the registration option available in the online store.
Customers may create their own accounts to make repeat purchases more convenient, keep their details associated with one profile and use account-specific settings. For B2B customers, an account can also be assigned to a specific price group so that the appropriate prices are displayed after the customer logs in.
The instructions below explain how an administrator can create and manage a user from the Perno Store panel.
1. Select the correct Perno Store
Log in to the Perno administration panel and use the Context selector at the top of the page to choose the Perno Store whose users you want to manage.
The customer list is displayed for the currently selected store.
2. Open the Customers module
Select Customers from the left-hand navigation.
The customer list displays:
-
Customer name and email address
-
Customer type
-
Communication language
-
Price type
-

-
Available actions

3. Add a new user
Select Add Customer in the upper-right corner.
Complete the customer form with the available information:
-
First Name
-
Last Name
-
Email
-
Communication Language
-
Phone Number
Select the customer’s preferred communication language so that store communications can be prepared in the appropriate language

4. Choose the customer type
Complete the customer form with the available information:
-
First Name
-
Last Name
-
Email
-
Communication Language
-
Phone Number
Leave the B2B User option unselected if the user is a retail customer.
Select B2B User if the user represents a business. Additional fields will then become available.
For a B2B user, enter the relevant company information:
-
Tax Number
-
Company Name
After selecting B2B User, choose the appropriate Price Type, which represents the price group assigned to that customer. Price groups allow the store to display different product prices to different B2B customers.
For example, separate price groups can be created for distributors, wholesale customers or selected business partners. When a B2B user logs in to the store, the prices assigned to that user’s price group are displayed.
If a customer created an account independently through the online store and should receive B2B prices, open the customer’s profile in the Perno Store panel, select B2B User and assign the appropriate price group.

5. Enter the customer’s address
Complete the address fields where applicable:
-
Address Street
-
Address Building Number
-
Address Apartment Number
-
Address City
-
Address Postal Code
Check that the address is complete before using it for invoicing or delivery.

6. Save the customer
Review the information and select Save Changes.
Select Cancel to leave the form without creating the customer.
After saving, the customer will appear in the customer list.

7. Open a customer profile
Find the customer in the list and select Details.
The customer profile displays:
-
Customer name and email
-
Customer type, such as Retail
-
Communication language
-

-

-

-

The order table may include the order number, status, price type and total value.
8. Edit customer information
On the customer profile, select Edit Customer.
Update the relevant personal, contact, business or address information, then select Save Changes.

9. Manage invoice data
In the Invoice Data section, select Add to enter billing details when none have been saved.
