How to Add a New Product to a Perno Store

A step by step guide to adding a new product to Perno Store.

Take the following steps to add a new product to your store.

1. Select the correct store

Log in to Perno and use the Context selector at the top of the page to choose the store where the product should be added.

Product settings apply only to the currently selected store.

2. Open the product catalogue

In the left-hand navigation:

  1. Expand Your store.

  2. Select Products.

Alternatively, expand the main Products section and select Products.

3. Start creating the product

On the Products page, select Add Product.

The New Product form will open. Check the Store Context panel to confirm that you are adding the product to the correct store

4. Enter the core product information

Complete the required fields:

  • Product Name – enter a short and distinctive product name.

  • Slug – enter the URL-friendly version of the product name, for example premium-ticket. Use lowercase letters and hyphens instead of spaces.

  • Currency – select the currency in which the product will be sold.

  • Product Price – enter the price in the smallest currency unit.

For example:

  • Enter 1234 for a price of EUR 12.34.

  • Enter 1500 for a price of EUR 15.00.

5. Complete additional pricing information

If applicable, enter:

  • Wholesale Price Net – the net price for wholesale customers.

  • Online Price Net – the net price for online sales.

  • Individual Price Net – the net price for individual customers.

  • Product Promo Price – the promotional selling price.

  • Product Lowest Price in 30 Days – the lowest price offered during the previous 30 days.

All these prices must also be entered in the smallest currency unit. For example, 2500 represents 25.00 in the selected currency.

6. Add product identification and package details

Complete the relevant fields:

  • Producer – select the product manufacturer or producer.

  • Product SKU Code – enter the internal stock-keeping code.

  • Product EAN Code – enter the product’s barcode number.

  • Product Package Width

  • Product Package Height

  • Product Package Length

Use consistent measurement units for all package dimensions.

7. Add product descriptions

Use the rich-text editors to enter:

  • Product Description – the main description displayed to customers.

  • Additional Product Description – supplementary product information.

The editor allows you to format the text, create lists, add links and insert images. Include the product’s main features, specifications and other information customers need before purchasing.

8. Configure stock control

In the Stock Control section:

  1. Select Check stock if Perno should monitor the available quantity.

  2. Enter the Product Stock (Available Quantity).

  3. Enter the Completion Time (Days) – the number of days required to prepare or complete the order.

Keep the available quantity updated when stock checking is enabled to avoid overselling.

9. Configure storefront visibility

In the Storefront Visibility section:

  • Status – select the appropriate product status. Choose Published if the product should be available for sale.

  • Show product on products pages – select this option to display the product in the store’s product listings.

  • Featured on homepage – select this option to promote the product on the store’s homepage.

  • Hide on non-default category main pages – select this option if the product should not appear on secondary category pages.

10. Create the product

Review all required information and select Create Product.

To leave the form without creating the product, select Cancel or Back to Products.

11. Verify the product

After creation, confirm that the product appears in the product catalogue with the correct:

  • Name and description

  • Price and currency

  • Publication status

  • Storefront visibility

You can also preview the store to confirm that the product is displayed correctly to customers.
