How to update the order status in Perno Store

A step by step guide to updating your order status in Perno Store.

Order statuses help you track the progress of orders in Perno Store. You can update an order status from the order details page and optionally add a message to the order timeline and customer email.

Before making any changes, confirm that the correct store is selected in the Context field at the top of the page.

1. Open the Orders module

In the left-hand navigation:

  1. Expand Orders.

  2. Select All orders.

The Orders page displays all carts and orders for the currently selected store.

2. Find the order

Locate the order whose status you want to change.

The order list displays information such as:

  • Order ID

  • Order Start

  • Order Paid

  • Customer

  • Amount

  • Status

You can use the status tabs or date range fields to narrow the results.

3. Open the order details

Click the relevant number in the Order ID column.

The order details page displays the current status, amount, customer information, payment method, billing address, ordered products, delivery method, metadata and order timeline.

Before changing the status, verify that you have opened the correct order.

4. Find the Change order status section

Scroll down the order details page.

The Change order status section is displayed on the right-hand side of the page. It contains:

  • New Status

  • Internal Note

  • Update status

5. Select the new status

Open the New Status dropdown and select the required status.

The Orders module uses the following status categories:

  • In progress: the order process is still active.

  • Payment in progress: the payment process has started but has not been completed.

  • Unpaid: the order is awaiting payment.

  • Paid: payment has been confirmed.

  • B2B to completion: a B2B order requires additional completion.

  • Cancelled: the order has been cancelled.

  • Failed: the order was not completed successfully.

  • Completed: the order process has been completed.

Select a status that accurately reflects the current stage of the order.

6. Add an internal note

Use the Internal Note field to enter an optional message related to the status change.

The message can provide additional context for the order timeline and email communication. Do not include confidential information or unnecessary personal data.

You can leave this field empty if no additional explanation is required.

7. Update the status

Review the selected status and the internal note.

Click Update status to apply the change.

8. Verify the change

After updating the order, confirm that:

  • the new status is displayed at the top of the order details page;

  • the Order Status field in the Metadata section has been updated;

  • the status change appears in the Order Timeline;

  • the order is displayed under the correct status tab on the All orders page.

Use Back to Orders to return to the order list.
